This is the gravesite of our beloved Annie, a chow/red heeler mix, hence the name
the Annie Trail.

Our grandkids have named some of our many nature trails. This is the deer trail and if you look closely you can see a white salt block in the center of the picture.

Welcome to Gamblers Cove Kennel! We are located in beautiful northern Missouri on 10 acres of pasture and dense timber with a very interesting history. Where our house and kennels set was some of the thickest timber in the area with cedar trees whose branches grow all the way to the ground and right in the middle was a natural clearing. During prohibition people from this town and the surrounding area could gamble and drink there with no fear of being caught. The spot became known as gamblers cove and still is today. We still find Old Quaker whiskey bottles in our creek east of the clearing, the really old kind with no lid but a cork in the top. Someday when we retire we plan to use metal detectors and are looking forward to finding old coins and other interesting ‘treasures’.

In the meantime, it’s a great place to live and raise puppies. With 8 grandchildren , AKA our ‘socialization crew’, there is plenty of room to romp and play. There are trails to explore and wildlife galore. We have cats and kittens, birds, foxes and keep corn and salt blocks out for the deer.

We love to match puppy personality to family needs, when you adopt a pet you are adding a member to your family. Tell us what your needs are and we’ll do our best to find the right puppy for you.

We have a great vaccination and de-worming program and strive to raise great quality healthy puppies for years of companionship and love. We try to attend 20 hours of continuing education each year to keep up on the latest in puppy care. We are a small kennel with a limited number of puppies each year. If we raise a breed you are interested in but none are available at the time we have a waiting list and are always happy to let you know when we have a new litter.
